The item is just the cowl piece, not the entire hood. yeah, I'm sure the cowl piece isn't the highest quality either. That's why I'm asking about a custom hood. I want the ram air, but I like the cowl look over an actual scoop. A W-25/W-30 hood wouldn't work. It'd hit the carb. I need the...
Do anyone know of a place that makes custom fiberglass hoods? I'd like a fiberglass 4" cowl hood for my 83 cutlass, but I want it to be similar to the SVO induction cowl in this ebay item...
First off thanks for recommending vfnfiberglass for the hood on my 83 cutlass. What about bumpers? Does someone make, just bumpers and not the entire front and rear clips? Thanks again...
I'd like to get a stock style bolt-on fiberglass hood for my 83 Cutlass that I can put a scoop on. Where are some good places to buy them from at a decent price? Thanks...
Thanks for the responses. Another dumb question, is there an easy way to take the old trim/seal off without taking the glass out. I'm not see how to get to a couple of the screws with the top of the glass in the way...
Nope., hadn't seen that. Thanks for the link. I couldn't tell from the pics. Does the rear need to be reinforced somehow after notching out the frame like that?
Ok, I have vinyl top off along with the foam and most of the glue. What should I do around the side windows? The gap around the "chrome" of the window and the side of the car seems a little wider than it needs to be...
OK, here's the rest of the info on the rear end. It has GM58 on one side and casting number 3959038 NF on the other. It measures 55 1/2 inches from outside of each flange (55 inches from inside). What is it from? Thanks
I got a Chevy 12 Bolt rear end that I want to put under my 84 Cutlass. Can anyone tell me what it came out of? It measures 58 inches from the tip of one axle tube to the other. The letters/numbers I see on the case are "CONI" (lower left), "J108" (lower right), and it has line 1 "1 2 3 4 5"...
I'm not sure what it came out of. It was loose when I bought it. I'm assuming it came from the 68-72 era, but I haven't verified that. Is there a kit or what exactly do I need to get it under my car? Thanks
I'm swapping out the stock rearend of my 84 Cutlass for a GM 12-Bolt. The car is going to see the strip a few times. I'm not real good with knowing what's what. I have the 12-bolt rearend. Can someone tell me exactly what I need to swap the rearends? If you could point me to part numbers...
I picked up a 84 cutlass yesterday. The car needs a paint job, and I was considering removing the vinyl top. Can anyone tell me what's all involved in that process? Thanks
