I'm running a 1992 block with no hole for the mechanical fuel pump and yes have a pressure regulator I hooked up the power straight to the back like you said and I got nothing no juice so I'm guessing my pump is no good but then when I hook up that tan and white wire it starts up but no...

Is there a harness inside the car that goes down to the fuel pump

I went and looked at the harness that connects to the pump and the positive wire is maroon burgundy looking should I hook up to that? The pump kicks on but I have no pressure and the pump won't shut off

So i looked up if there was a positive cable for the pump on google and I wired it to the tan and white wire on the harness located under the dash on the passenger side it turned on but I don't have any fuel pressure and the pump won't turn off

So do I run the positive fuel pump wire all the way to the front where the relay go's ?

Damn sounds complicated !! Where would I get the harness so that I don't short anything? And the fuel pump positive where do I locate it since I don't have the ecm? do I run a wire all the way back to pump?

So the fuel pump is the stock intank pump all the wiring has been eliminated from the ecm I have no relay or anything to send power to the pump only harness I have is the one on the fender and I clipped off all the connections that I didn't think I needed hooked up starter alternator and distributor

Ok guys so finally dropped the 350 in my Monte Carlo eliminated the computer and harness (v6 4.3 tbi) now I'm trying to fire it up but fuel pump is not kicking over do I have to re wire the fuel pump? Where is the fuse located ? I have no pressure coming to the gauge and no fuel shooting out...

I have 2 setups I have a tbi off the 91 block and the Vortec setup I want to use the 91 tbi setup but I keep reading that the Vortec uses a reverse water pump and it needs a by pass and that you can't use the tbi one This is the setup that I want to use ☝️
