    It's been a minute...

My dad and I painted it. The only thing on this car I didn't have a hand in was building the transmission. As for the build thread, I'm not sure I have one. I'm horrible at documenting progress and taking pics.

Oof! I meant corona virus. Now I feel bad. Sorry to hear about your dad. Don't even wanna think about losing my dad.

    It's been a minute...

Haven't been on here much recently, too much going on but I'll spare ya the sob story. I was prepped to make it to my first ever Gbody Nats but the big bad C word said no. I've been driving the wheels off the aerocoupe. It's been my daily everyday it doesn't rain. The last year that I had this...

    Another kick in the nuts

Funny you mentioned that. While I was in the house changing I noticed the lights in the house flickered twice. I didn't realize it was because my garage was burning. But that said, it never tripped the breaker in the house that feeds the garage.

    Another kick in the nuts

That's basically what I'm gonna have to do. Ironic I had JUST bought a brand new bench grinder and put a wire wheel on it the night before. Now I get to buy another one just to clean the salvageable tools. Luckily most of the hand tools look salvageable, just gotta spend a few nights when this...

Never thought of that, the bottles are staying for now then. The less mess I create the better.

    Another kick in the nuts

Thanks for the responses, I don't have the contents inside the garage insured separately. Never even thought of that, this is my first time owning a house. I was never told anything about the wood burner in the garage from the insurance company. Nothing good or bad, literally nothing at all...

    Another kick in the nuts

What do you guys think about the whole wood burner deal? Am I correct in thinking that since they did NOT make me remove it for the inspection I should be alright? I'm new to all of this. Also, they are aware of the wood burner in the house. I have an add on style wood furnace in the basement...

    Another kick in the nuts

I'll get the bottles out tonight. PontiacGP is right, it's argon and the other one on my mig is a mix. Inert yes, but still not worth the risk I guess. I'm gonna be fighting them over the wood burner as is, better play it safe.

    Another kick in the nuts

That's beyond stupid but not surprising I guess. It's my brother's car and he hasn't had insurance on it in over 4 years since it's been torn down. I think the bones are okay. The interior was removed for the cage welding but my welding hood sitting inside the car is now a puddle.

    Another kick in the nuts

I would but the garage is taped off. The fire department did not want anyone in there because the roof is falling in. I didn't wanna remove it and have the insurance company accuse me of tampering with anything. Hindsight, I shouldn't have even been in there taking pics I guess. But yes, I'm...

    Another kick in the nuts

I should also add that the fire started above the insulated ceiling. The flue pipe coming from the wood burner evidently came apart or leaked enough to start a fire up there. I had just went inside the house to change into garage clothes. Was in for maybe 10 minutes. By time I got back outside...

    Another kick in the nuts

Haven't been on here much recently and the reason is that I bought a new house and have been busy doing house stuff. I've also been accumulating tools, bought a new Tig welder, mig welder, plasma cutter, etc...well all of that went up in smoke on Friday (3/27). Luckily my car is safe. I had just...

    DAYTONA 500 Sunday

The biggest problem with plate racing is that fans are gonna cry and moan either way. Either it's too boring or it's too dangerous. There's no way to take the danger out. As for getting rid of the bumping....might as well just take the tracks off the schedule. No bumping means more checking up...

    DAYTONA 500 Sunday

Might have been the worst crash I've seen. Never a good sign when they evacuate the media from pit road and cover the scene with black tarps while they work on him.

Thats simple, it's something that boomers hate. And the ones that figured out how to use it, use it to brag about the good ole days of drinking water straight from the garden hose, spreading obviously fake news articles, and general whining about younger generations
