Not sure what your local laws are in the town you live in,

But before the insurance company gets there I would remove the tank you have on the welding cart.

You are lucky that didnt blow.
I would but the garage is taped off. The fire department did not want anyone in there because the roof is falling in. I didn't wanna remove it and have the insurance company accuse me of tampering with anything.

Hindsight, I shouldn't have even been in there taking pics I guess.

But yes, I'm beyond gutted. Everything I had been working towards is gone.

It’s a good thing the Camaro was on the ground. I’ve read a few times on forums where insurance companies didn’t pay for a vehicle that was on jack stands. Glad nobody was injured. Still SUCKS BIG TIME. Damn glad I went with overhead radiant tube heat when I built my garage 20 years ago.
That's beyond stupid but not surprising I guess. It's my brother's car and he hasn't had insurance on it in over 4 years since it's been torn down. I think the bones are okay. The interior was removed for the cage welding but my welding hood sitting inside the car is now a puddle.

The insurance company may see that bottle, walk away and cancel your policy.

They could go as far as to say you are running a business out of your residence to justify their non payment/coverage.

Ive seen it happen with less and hopefully you dont have Farmers

It's an argon or argon mix, not a welding bottle

If that cylinder became damaged or compromised during the fire , it would launch itself like a rocket.

Maybe not a so called explosive........ but a huge projectile

Check out argon flash

the bottle was sitting in the proper position and less dangerous than a bbq 20 lbs tank or some filled gas cans that no one would object to being stored in a garage
