Is the euro front clip more desirable than the earlier clip?

Re: Is the euro front clip more desirable than the earlier c I liked my euro clip on my old '87 442, but if I found another '87-'88 project car, I'd sell the Euro components to finance other stuff on the build.

question about 78-79 elcos + monte ss nose

If I remember correctly, you'll need to swap to the Monte doors and install the El Camino door glass in them as well. This way the body lines will match up. Awful lot of work. I'd upgrade to the '81 nose if I'd change it at all. If you want something different, I'd do the 82-87 Malibu/El...

    Custom fog lights

I'd think it would be quite easy. It would be a matter of drilling new holes for the turn signal sockets using the current ones as a template. Obviously you want to place them a couple inches away from the fog light bulbs since they produce a lot of heat. You'd probably want to go with a...

What do you think about these wheels....

I'd do a red pinstripe around the circumference of the rim (like the factory Hurst Olds chrome rims). This would break up the black just enough. Also, the black wheels make the '84 look more "inverted" against the '83 since the stock wheels were Chrome and silver with the red pinstripe.

How much is usable from '85 Olds 88 Wagon?

Double check the wheel bolt pattern. Most wagons had the 5-lug 5" pattern instead of the 4-3/4" pattern. I'm not aware of any B-Body wagons with the 4-3/4" pattern.

    T-top question

Are the t-tops the same from 78-88 on G-bodies? I saw an ad on craigslist for a pair of 83 Cutty T-tops and wondered if they all interchange. Thanks

Fast and Furios Tokyo Drift Monte Carlo

If you listen to the "GN" engine on the Fast and Furious trailer, the engine sound is not a Turbo charged 3.8. Definitely a V8, unless there was serious dubbing going on. Interior shots didn't look too GN either. Odds are another "attack of the clones".

    alternator is failing I think

Easy test for the alternator. Disconnect the negative terminal while the car is running. If it dies, the alternator is bad and vice versa.

    billet column dressup kits

On summit racing's website, Ididit kit #2500010040 should work for you. It is designed for the 77-90 "push-in" style turn signal lever. It's $50 + shipping, and has the signal lever, tilt wheel lever, and hazard switch. That is the only dress up kit I've seen that will work on your application.

1979 grand prix 9000 miles. FOR SALE THIS WEEK ONLY!!!!!!

I say take it to Barrett-Jackson!!! It's 30 model-years old, and in that shape you'd make a pretty penny on that GP. Another possibility is to contact the Pontiac Historical Society, or any club affiliated with old Pontiacs such as POCI. (Trans Am Nationals would be a great place to start...

What to do with my 305?

IMHO, find a good 87-90 350 Truck EFI engine, go with either the TBI or carb, swap it out and roll. IIRC, these had the roller cams which are more efficient since there is less rolling friction. These engines are easy to find and do very well in stock form. If you keep the TBI, you...
