Headers, Angle plugs & clutch linkage

Please let me know how they did or didn't work. I still have access to the angle plug heads & may consider using them if I should find headers that work. Thanks for being the guinea Pig.. :)

Headers, Angle plugs & clutch linkage

I scrapped the idea of angle plug heads but did find that Patriot h8047-B might work.

Headers, Angle plugs & clutch linkage

I checked the Hedman site & there was no mention of the angle plug being compatible. The site also cited that these were spread port headers. Thanks for your response I appreciate your trying to help.

Headers, Angle plugs & clutch linkage

I have a 78 El with a small block. I have the opportunity to get a set of angle plug heads. I also have a manual 4 speed. I can't seem to be able to find headers that will fit angle plug heads AND stock clutch linkage. If one of you guys that have a similar set up could give me the brand & part...

    Brighter Brake Lights

I have a 78 Elcamino & the lights are placed in the bumper very low on the car & can be difficult to see. After reading this thread, I went to autozone & bought 4 of these bulbs. I replaced one side & turned the lights on, The new bulbs were definitely brighter than the 1157s. Thanks for the...

control arm bushing removal and install

I used a ball joint press for mine.. Not exactly easy but effective. Also used it to press the new bushings in. This was on the rearend housing. The trailing arms themselves I did on a press.

What do you hate most about engine swaps?

I get nervous with the engine hanging off the cherry picker. Trying to move the picker into position over the engine bay with a 400 pound engine swinging around is nerve wracking. Then the push - lower - pull - move to the side - lower - raise just a little, etc. I feel a sense of relief when...

    Anyone Running Hooker 2451 Headers?

Shorty plugs are a must with those headers, I run Autolite AR 134. They are the same length as the Accel shorties.

*HELP New Member from Ohio HP Suggestions HELP*

Sounds like you have everything going in the right direction, EXCEPT, the rear gearing. I would definately get lower gears. 355 or 373 would be good. I would go no higher than 308s. Your gas milage will suffer but it's obviously not a daily driver. Good luck.

    Drag radial/slick thread

I run 8 inch Hoosier or Goodyear asphalt circle track tires. I get the leftovers (for free) from some buddies running circle track. They are about $115 apiece new. They are not DOT approved but have minimal tread so I am not bothered by the cops running them on the street. They are soft but wear...

    Header issues. (SOLVED)

Re: Header issues I use Hooker 2451 long tube. Clears Z bar & linkage. It is in a 78 Elcamino though.
