Want to put in a floor shifter on my 85 with bench seats, what shifters will work with 4 speed trans and full length headers? Might also switch to buckets eventually, but for now I'm hoping to find something that will work with a bench
i know you said you added the zinc additive during break in but did you follow the correct procedure? may have a flat cam lobe. you can try relashing the valves
red wire to one side of the circuit breaker then another piece of red wire from the other side of the circuit breaker to the battery. Grey/back goes to the installed thermo switch, purple goes to the positive wire on the fan, then you also need to ground that black wire (ground) coming from the...
It depends on what you want to do, but for the average person yes you do. You need to connect the power wire from the relay to the battery, then your going to need a switched 12v source so the fans only turn on when the car is running. then the ground usually comes from the thermostatic switch...
nice! 8) To make adjustments you don't have to move the bracket back. You just have to press in the little tab and push the slider in or out ONE click at a time then test drive until your happy with it. One little click makes a big change. I like that bracket, I'm going to look into getting one.
I have the same cam as you, and I find it likes a lot of timing at idle (initial), which can put your total above where you would like it to be and cause detonation. Say for ex. if you found your motor liked initial timing at 20 btdc and your dist. had 26 degrees of mechanical advance, that...
installed my TA girdle today I love it lol

make sure you get the holley carb geometry corrector for tv cable or you will ruin that trans fast. It wont work how it is suppose to without it. I know they keep telling you they will make it work but I don't trust nobody
Thanks pictures do them no justice, I really like how they came out and that they can be touched up easily from time to time. Glad to be an innovator of something for once in my life 8)
Just finished up my rear drum brake upgrade, since there aren't too many pics of the process i figured i'd share mine.
first replaced stock 3/4" bore wheel cylinders with S-10 7/8" bore. I also highly recommend using wheel cylinder bracket because the retainer is a pain in the *ss to get in and...
finally out of school and making some progress finished running my new wires and finishing up my fusebox wiring, got it all back together and took it for a ride, trans feels alot better with the shift kit, not more slipping when accelerating and shifts are not to hard, everything stayed cool and...
