1 wire is 12v t cooling the other is 12v t higher speed for a/c the other is ground if u still have the temp switch conected its not going to come on the switch works off heat so ground before switch should come on

thats a common problem in the 90s tahos and ive fixed a many with a 18 gauge wire and a soildering iron no problems
