I'm owner No. 8 according to the "Auto Check" feature that was on Ebay when I bought it back in 2014. Don't know much history other than that. The previous owner was in Cascade Iowa. Here it is the day I unloaded it. I have the engine and transmission out of it right now for an underhood restoration.

4th owner of my first SS and 4th owner of my (now stolen) Aerocoupe.
No idea on my other SS project.
We're second owners of the wife's non-G daily driver and I am buying a non-G daily beater for myself next week; I will be the second owner.

First owner. Factory ordered the GP in August 1982 and took possession in October. It was an 83 model.

It was my first car. I was well aware that those cars in the mid-late 70's had worthless engines but they looked nice. I knew I was going to buy one when I graduated, so I had my dad save his old 350 powered LeMans just for me. That LeMans sat in a barn for a few years and then when I got my GP, the first thing I did was pull the 305 and replaced it with a rebuilt 350! That was fun.

Many years later, my son and I completely rebuilt this car into what it is today. Lots of great memories!

How do you honestly know how many owners your car has been through? From what ive been told im the 4th owner of my 1986 Monte Carlo SS when i purchased the car 2 years ago i found a slip in the glove box from the original owner that had it delivered to their house with only 2 miles from factory here in illinois.

I really have no idea how many previous owners my 83' Monte CL had since I bought it from a used car dealer back in 89' they had just gotten it in and hadn't done any clean up on it.
I bought it just to flip it since I had my 81' Regal at the time but after getting so many compliments on the Monte after cleaning it up and putting rims on it I decided to keep it plus after having a bunch of t-top gbodies I really enjoyed the ASC power sunroof that was dealer installed.
After removing the half vinyl and installing the aftermarket front nose and changing out the gray interior and complete drivetrain about the only thing that is original at this point is the sheet metal.

I am technically the 3rd and 5th owner of my Buick. My friend purchased the car from our boss in the mid 90's. He fell in to financial trouble so I bought it from him, when he got in better shape he bought it back. He passed away in 2008 and the car sat till 2013 when I purchased it from his wife. I still keep in contact with the original owner. She bought the car new and loves following what I am doing to it.
