275 is too big use the 255's or even 265 but if you go to 275 its just ever so slightly too big

OP=Original Poster

I've ran 15 x 8 rims with 275/60R15 and 4" of backspace on the rear of my 79" and 83" Monte and never had any rubbing issues.
My 79' was stock height but my 83' is lowered a couple inches.

The ralley wheels are 15x8 all the way around and the the riddler wheels are 17x8 no rubbing with either one I've had 5 set of wheels on my car and the only set that rubbed are 19x10.5 in the rear the fronts were 19x8.5

To fit 275s a lot of people "roll" the inner fender well lip in for a little clearance. Also many run an air bag/s in the rear coil with a few pounds for a slight lift / rake and a little clearance.

Side note if you have a limited slip rear often 10 to 15 psi in the passenger side air bag and none to 5 psi in the drivers side bag [if you use one] pre loads the suspension enough to help get maximum grip from both tires for your drag race launch. A few burnouts with adjustments in both tire and air bag pressures should get you to near equal length {one tire vs the other} and an even contact patch across the tires.
