Hi,

I'm new to the forum, I'm sure this has been posted before but I need some wheel help.

I want to run. 17X8 w/ 4.5" BS on front 235/45/17 or maybe 17X7 w/ 4" BS and a 225 tires.

Which is best on the front?

On the rear I want to run 17X9.5" with 5" BS ....The car is already painted. Will they fit w/o too much mods or will I have to Roll the lip? If I roll the lip will it crack the paint? Can I just cut some of the lip off at the top of the wheel well with a rotatry saw or grinder?

NEED HELP!!!! Anyone running the 17X 9.5 in the rear?

p.s rear is 7.5" factory brakes lowered 1"-1.5" and it has UMI rear control arms. The wheels will be Centerline Retro's.....ANY SUGGESTIONS?

on my 78 monte i am running 17x8 with 4" bs and either a 235-45-17 or 245-45-17, cant remember right now. in the rear i have 17x9.5 with 4.75" backspace with 275-40-17, the fronts clear fine the back have about a 1/4" clearance from tire to frame and it clears the fender lips too, but i do have a bigger coil in the rear than stock so its not lowered.

That helps alot, if it were lowered further do you think it would cut the tires or no?
