180cc or 200cc intake runners?
I'm looking into the dart shp heads which are aluminum and at a reasonable price. Im running what I believe is a stock rebuilt bottom end with a .460 lift cam. Which intake runner heads should I choose. Max lift on the heads is .510 but if I run that high of a stall I need to get larger than 2400 stall which I currently have installed. What intake runner would you suggest? Both are 64 cc combustion chamber I believe and 2.02 and 1.60 valves

EDIT: .480 cam lift, NOT .460

An actual 180cc flowing runner is even way more than needed for a .460" lift cam

My apologies for the typo. It's actually a .480 lift. And I've heard that the heads are slightly over rated? Would anyone be able to touch base with the flow bench tests? Does the extra .020 lift make any difference?

The .510" that they are advertising at, is the maximum amount of lift that the springs can handle. Not the maximum that the heads will flow

Right. I understand that, I noticed that you said .460 lift was not enough for a true flowing 180 cc runner. I'm actually running .480 lift, would that work well with a 180cc runner or do you think its too small still?

Do you have the full specs on your camshaft :?: Duration :?:

Just generally speaking, a 180cc runner matched with a .480" lift cam is a good match up.

HERE is the cam I plan on running. I can't run a larger cam without a larger stall correct? I have a 2300-2500 b&m holeshot
You can go with a larger cam and stay with a 2500 stall, it just may not launch as good as it should  The way I always look at it is to gauge my stall speed at the beginning of the camshafts advertised RPM range. Not sure if this is the correct way, but it makes sense in my head

Yeah, I'm just going to stay with my current setup then, I don't really like changing converters lol
Sweet. Were you running stock bottom end? I'm running a performer rpm intake (1500-6500) . Did you ever dyno to get any hp/tq specs? Or any quarter times?
