I'll get pics as soon as I can. I've been using Goo-Gone it's working okay, not spotless like I want. But I'm going to just ditch the console and build my own because I'm going to put my radio in the console and I'm going to make a filler panel with just an opening for the heater/ac control unit on the dash.

I never realized how many of us around here were in our late teens and early 20's. Its great to see wish there were more of us around the Buffalo area!

Anyways, project looks great! Keep it up!

Sorry guys it's taking me so long to do updates I'm bouncing between working on my cutlass and the race car and work. So it's all really timing consuming. Today I spent most of the day working on the race cutlass but I did get some time to work on mine. I got the transmission in today but I've still got to finsh getting the drivers side of the crossmember bolted down. Got the passanger side header losely bolted on and some of the wiring done. But I did have a bad thing happen today... When I was lifting the transmission on the floor jack to roll it under I slipped and fell in to my drivers side quarter panel so now I've got a dent to fix, what makes it worse is it's on the the body line too. I'll get some pictures tomorrow for you right now I'm pretty upset about the dent. 😢 :x

Well it's been really slow progress since the last update. I haven't gotten any pictures because there really wasn't any progress. One thing goes on two has to come off to get everything adjusted right. :wtf: Well the transmission is in, crossmember is bolted down passanger side header is off because I had to fix a starter wire that was laying on it and I had to make my transmission cooler lines.

I had gotten 2 60" brake lines to make my cooler lines and I will never rent a flare tool from Advance Auto again. It's a POS the damn thing broke on me. I got pissed and put the line in the told the instead of using the nuts to tighten it down I put it in a vise then set the die in the line and tapped with a hammer. Worked a whole lot better and looks good.

I got some good scores at the junk yard the other day, complete alternator bracket set for 10 bucks a nice cadillac electric fan for 25 and a free water pump pulley. Then I found a guy on CL parting out cutlasses and got a 307 radiator for 40 bucks and a SBC pump and brackets for a mid 80's truck for 25.

Picked up a new water pump today, 25 foot of steel fuel line, offset transmission mount, B&M Z Gate shifter, misc bolts and such for accerioes and other little nick nacks. My advise for if your going to make your own fuel line is either go with Stainless Steel braided line or aluminum. It's the biggest pain in the *ss doing steel. :blam: I've still got to finsh the line.

Once that's finshed I can bolt my passanger side header on and the car will be on ground. Once it's on the ground got to throw my fan on, wire it up, get some radatior hose, throw the dizzy on, lash the valves, mount my oil psi and water temp gauge then it should be ready to fire in the car. Been working on the car since 6pm it's now 4am. Hopefully when I get off work at 3pm I'll be able to fire the car tonight. Hopefully. Then after that all I need is tires and the car will be driveable.

Sunday I'm going to the big swap meet at the fair grounds gonna try to find a double hump crossmember. Well I'm tired guys sorry for the unenthusastic update and lack of pictures. I'm really getting un motivated with the car It's been so frustrating. But this is also my first olds. Oh well I'm gonna hit the hay guys gotta be up at 7am.

Got my fingers crossed for you.
I can relate to not being motivated. My Regal has been sitting in the driveway for weeks, unstreetable, waiting for paint. Mostly because of my work schedule. Finally got the painting supplies anyway. A small but important step, much like the odds and ends work for your drivetrain.
Just keep taking one step at a time and before you know it you'll have walked a mile.
