BUICK 1964 Skylark Coupe Project

Yeah as a blue guy through and through when I saw the beige I was like yeah thats the way to go, until I saw the 2 tone look of the blue and how it pops🤣
Blue is my color... but then check this one out. This is actually what mine would've looked like originally, and damn does it look good. Not sold on the interior, but with a white/black interior, I think it'd be sharp.

I'll be honest, to me that exterior main color doesn't do it for me. Now if the end plan is blue try to find a white that'll compliment it if tht too wil be the second color. How much does the side chrome break up the side? Would it be able to paint like the trim on this one?

Even possible a white stripe down along the lower style line in white to match the roof if not. Maybe something like this. Couldn't find a blue/white combo of what I'm thinking & disregard the wheel arch stripes.

Since it's still months untill the final paint your colors may change, Never know say green, used on '15 Silverado's for example, could creep in as an idea. Never know what other colors/shades you'll see between now & then.

I could be very happy either way, blue or cream white. If I wind up going with the blue, it'd be the code F Marlin blue with code C Artic white top, and likely dark blue interior.
My vote is still blue. And that center console is mandatory.
The ironing board console? I like it but they are rare and tough to find in good shape. I was thinking a 64-65 GTO console would match the vertical chrome bars on the dash really well and blend right in. Plus they are reproduced and made to work with manual transmissions.

I'm unfamiliar with this ironing board console. Please share pics.

Hey, Joe, waddya know? Good to hear that you are getting over the latest bout of galloping crud or whatever virus took a swing at you. Seems to be an international occurrence; not going to call it an epidemic, the new head of the incoming Federal Department of Health says there are no such things. 🤢.

Also good to see that you are still moving the project forward, Too cold up here to be in the shop for very long g but I still have a few basement projects that will keep my mind engaged until it warms up a bit.

Stay warm/stay safe.
