1970 Olds Cutlass S Rat Rod Style

Sounds like great plan! Your car plans have gotten more elaborate over the years whereas my car plans have gotten simpler. 🙂 I've basically just have been tweaking at my gbody and enjoying driving it on the nice weekends..

Yes, they have Frank, too elaborate. I really want to see the mileage I can pull out of this 260. I have never seen an Olds motor not even seep oil, this one doesn't. Maybe it is super sludged up, I hope not. I will probably throw the gauges on as well to see where everything runs. This little motor runs great, especially for a 260. These are few steps closer to making it the driver I want. The 260 will go next year in the 88 when I get the custom can in and degreed in the 350, maybe with a stock 2004R instead the TH350.

Got the headliner in, turned out OK, will get before and after pics up. It was loaded with Mouse nests and sh*t. Cleaned up everything inside and pulled the front seat since it needed new cover. Made putting the headliner in much easier. Started pulling the covers. The good, base is OK and the drivers back is useable. The passenger side back was packed solid with mouse nest, 4 mummified mice in there too. I stripped it down, sprayed with vinegar/cleaner mix, then a water baking soda mix on the metal to neutralize the acid. Both should help with the smell, surprisingly wasn't bad even with the humid weather. Will finish this week hopefully.

The dreaded rodent turds! Yuck! I fear that my gbody may have some sort of the same issue, albeit not as severe. I recently noticed that the rear seat insulation (as seen from inside the trunk) has a large (6") hole in it. I'm guessing that a mouse must be utilizing the missing material as nesting.. it's an unstoppable force in suburbia where I live. It also doesn't help that my gbody lives in a car port 100' behind the house..

Rural areas around here are brutal for mice. I have the seats stripped and and frames spray bombed gloss black, just the one cushion needs replaced which is lucky.

Before, stay tuned. The headliner was full of mouse nests as was one seat cushion. Cleaned and painted the frames, need to figure out the passenger seat back cushion, mice destroyed it. Yes, Mom I wore a dust mask. I also finished flushing the cooling system, deionized water and long life antifreeze added.
