Not long ago someone was asking about rebuilding and reassembly for a wiper motor. In my recent manual hoard acquisitions, there's was a training material exactly on point, at least for the early cars. I'm sorry it was wet early in its history, but, given the subject matter not surprising.... nonetheless, I'm sharing here:

Easy fix. I'll pick out a 78 442, and, trade you for your 87 442, then you can use this guide 😉
