As for aftermarket grills for the 78' I have an OPG grill and not impressed with fitment compared to the original. Still looks great but basically there are larger gaps in the bottom corners of the grill between the other pieces of chrome on the car. I wouldn't buy one again but that's just my experience with them. Just didn't impress me compared to the original. However that all being said it's still on my car because it looks much better than my original did as far as the finish is concerned.

i wud def look into that saint especially if ur grill and bezels are not cracked


lol pics do wonders...its cracked..right in the middle like if the person that had it bumped into a front cars bumper..and cracked like 6 of the inserts...if i touch them or move them they will fall off.. 🙁 ..new one it is...lol

thanks for the great info...i think all the aftermarket grilles are like that...my el camino one had the same problem..didnt line up...but looked ok..

Saint come get yo sh*t! If it doesnt fit, Imma be a Indian giver (I got good hair), and will take it back and figure out which one to get for you!

If I'm not mistaken the 78 Malibu/el camino is the only year that came with a splined column shaft. Once you pull your factory one off we will be able to see exactly what u need
