Think your stuff with 78 to 79 trim the 80 and 81 have more chrome.

So r u saying only 78 and 79 parts fit...not 80 thru 81?

I have my old steering shaft...i will look at them and make sure they are the same...i think they are..
 
your grill doesnt look like its in too bad of shape, you should see if it will be cheaper to have it vacuum chromed like they were factory. I always wanted to check but im too broke for chrome right now :rofl:

i wud def look into that saint especially if ur grill and bezels are not cracked

I don't think it's going to work, I believe I have a shaft that will work with a 78 That I picked up a while back, That wouldn't fit on my el i'll dig it out the storage tomorrow and send you some pics
