I know hot rod is not cheap

:blam:
I still do not understand why you are not using stock engine mounts. If you use stock engine mounts the transmission will mount where it is supposed to and everything will line up. By using non-stock engine mounts you moved where the engine mounts to the frame and now the transmission mounts will never line up unless you modify it yourself.

All you need is two Anchor brand #2292's and the mount brackets from any sbc. You can probably buy the mounts new for less than $15 together. The brackets should be able to be found just about anywhere...ebay, craigslist, any junkyard, maybe even a grocery store since it's a Chevy

If you spent more than $40 for everything you paid too much.

i think the moroso mounts are good because im building a 383stroker so it will all work out and its a 350 transmission and as on all g body the mounts only mount up one way

Yeah they mount up the same way but your car is going to vibrate tremendously. Solid motor mounts are made for all out drag cars, not street cars

i really dont understand how the motor will vibrate tremendously those mounts are very solid

Because a stock mount has a rubber insulator to reduce engine vibration and noise. A solid mount has nothing to reduce any of that. Solids motor mounts are made for less torque movement of the engine. With a solid mount you have this cast iron engine bolted to a steel plate which is mounted to a steel frame, absolutely NO vibration/noise reduction

damn how much will it vibrate will i feel it alot if so i have to change then will it do it with the 383 also

If its your daily driver it will get very annoying :!: If you just drive the car occassionally, then you could probably handle it. Any engine will send quite a bit of noise and vibration through solid motor mounts
