That's bad news!! This is my drag car so I haven't really been worried about the grille until I got faster lol powered by a full roller 71 350 rocket on nitrous.

Meh, when life gives you lemons, ya gotta make lemonade right?
I used the loss of our track to change the build direction and purpose of the car. Decided to go full tilt ProTouring/RestoMod with it instead. Emphasis on handling, cornering, and stopping as well as go like hell in a straight line.
Lol
Search for "Juggernaut build thread" on here for a brief history and current build direction on my 455 powered ride if you're interested. I believe the link to the thread is also in my signature at the bottom on my posts.

I had a chance to buy a Y68 car a few years ago....price was very reasonable too.....

Due to personal commitments I could not get to see it before it was sold. Haven't seen it around either.

Y68 Custom Appearance Package: Includes stainless steel roof band with frame molding, brushed aluminum pillar molding, black painted top special Cutlass Calais grille, Coupe R47 only. There were 6000 Y68 packages produced, and dealers were apparently allowed to put regional badging on these cars. In one area of the country, they were given "Edge" badging, in sticking with Oldsmobile's ~sharp~ imaging apparently. Other areas of the country had different names for these cars

Amazing!! I've been looking for info on this car but only found some small thing people wrote about what there's had and the body codes that aren't all online. Much appreciated. I've had the car 8 years and my buddy had it 15 before his untimely death. Should have joined here a long time ago!!

yes, what you have is the grilles and header panel that was standard on 1980 cutlass calais and 442. this is a one year only feature. don't hold your breathe waiting for repops. it won't happen unless your do it yourself. some cutlass supremes came with this special option, it was a way to help defer the production costs across a broader range of cars. they did the same to the 79 production. cutlass salon 2dr, ls 4dr, supreme and sw are all different. use calais or 442 in your search. good luck, i wish your the best. i always loved those front ends the best. joe
