I'm just asking you guys your opinions...

at a time when you can make any G-Body as fast as your skills or bank account will allow, does it matter how fast the car was when it came out to you?3

I think about this with Chevelles. I don't care about a 454 or whatever other than the "SS" badges. I'm swapping out everything I can afford to swap out anyway, just give me the body. I'm definitely not paying you a premium because the car used to be fast, but I do understand what the market currently commands.

But thats a Gale Banks aftermarket system ,with the tech of that time, No specs on the engine ,the fuel used etc.In other words lots of questions need to be answered.

This car was not, as Banks claims, a prototype for what became the GN. It was a project Banks did with Kenne Bell that appeared in Hot Rod magazine. Nothing from that motor appeared in any GN. The twin turbo setup, however, does look like it had considerable influence on the 1983 Indy 500 pace car. However, that pace car was a Riviera convertible, not a Regal, and featured electronic fuel injection with the Magnavox "waste spark" ignition that appeared in the first GN, the '84. No production Buick ever had any twin turbo setup.

Appearance wise, the paint scheme has a resemblance to the '82 "GN" that didn't even have one turbo, just a wheezing 4.1L with an unboosted Qjet. And sold like maybe 200 copies, mostly to dealers for display. The GN of course never had any such paint scheme.

(This diatribe was heavily revised several times.)

Very few 82 GNs were turbo, around 35. Not enough to matter, but they existed.

Looks like they just mount the throttle bodies to the the intakes of the turbo's?

Correct, like the production '84-'85 "hot air" draw-through design (no intercooler), except those have one turbo mounted at the back of the motor with the inlet pointing driver-side.
