And to bring the car to about current, this summer replaced the bumper fillers with good used ones, added the spoiler, replaced the driver side mirror and pushed out a dent behind it a bit.

Also removed the CD player mounted under the dash and stock AM radio and put in a AM/FM cassette radio from a 85’ Monte.

And lastly I removed the original carpet to clean, or maybe replace. Ended up taking a pressure washer to it and wow, what a difference. Put it back in, no plans to replace the carpet now.

My votes for powertrain are

Pontiac 400 or 455 dressed up as stock 301
GN 3.8 SFI setup but parts are a pain to find
3800 series 2 swap with boost

I think the salvage yard I told you about in MN has a buckets and console in a 4dr 78 grand am that would fit this car real nice. Its too overgrown to grab now but in a month it should be OK.

Pontiac g-body buckets/console are planned and I have two sets of buckets, a “correct” style from a 81’ GP and a set of “PMD” buckets from a 83’ GP in rough shape. Leaning to the PMD’s.

I finally got a couple tires mounted on the 15” snowflakes I bought before I even took possession of the wagon. Clean rims supposedly from AZ, the gold color actually looks ok on it and definitely gives it a different vibe.

Love those wheels

Now drop that wagon 2-3 inches!!!!!

Thanks, the whitewalls/Rally II combo sure is classy and goes with the wood but these look cooler and are better suited for what's planned. Currently in the process of figuring out what rear springs to use, I tested some Eibach's and it dropped the rear about 3.5", 1-2" is what I'm after, 3" is too far for my tastes.

I just installed BMR 1.5" rear springs part # SP037R in my Regal and it dropped it right about where I wanted it.

I'll hunt you down a Pontiac center console and non forward folding seats if I can get those PMD seats from you 🙂

I’m pretty set on them, pass side is decent actually, driver side needs cushion work. Funny thing was someone picked over the car and listed things on ebay off of it(found his listings, not many brown bucket seat 83’ GP’s in his area and all the missing parts he had up) he stripped the seats down removing the tracks and hinges. He apparently wasn’t familiar with what the PMD’s can go for, lucky for me.

I am keeping my eyes open for them yet anyway, if I find another set I’d keep you in mind.

Thanks for the info, but unfortunately wagons are in their own category where coupes/sedans and even El Camino’s I think don’t really apply to wagons for springs due to the additional rear weight. Eibachs lowered my Monte’s roughly 1” in rear as they advertise. On my wagon it was about 3.5” 😮
