Jae ,
witt the GMPP intake, your distributor goes at the back, exact same position as a first gen 350 ....even my CC503 comp cam has the dist. gear
no modification to do at all 🙂

regalman,
the reason i'm starting the LT1 with a carb intake is:
I did so many mods on this car ,that id rather start it with the original harness + carburator + HEI distributor because I wont have to supervise the start up possible issues with EFI ......
when the car will roll ( modified suspension, 700R4 transmisson +crossmember + b body 4 wheel disc brakes ,fitment solved) ,Ill do the EFI conversion

because I'm converting the harness myself instead of going the easy way (painless) I expect to have some issues

403 or lt1

i have been checking out shops in my area to do the lt1 swap for me i found two,I will be using a stand alone harness with out emissions
i have a roadmaster 1994 which will donate the engine and i have acess
to and 86 regal turbo for the fuel tank.both shops told me to get as many parts i can get for the swap.i will also purchase an a/c relocation kit
because a/c is a muct have rear end out of the regal is spoken for so i
have to get another.also going to purchase a double hump cross member.
going to take the drive shaft out of the roadmaster also.any one who has
done the swap let me know what else i need ,like gauges speedometer.
i am trying to make a deal on a 77 rivera with 403/350 owner said the motor has a skip in it.if i can get it for reasonable price i will keep it olds
and swap the lt1 into a monte carlo ss.p.s i live in new haven,ct any
recommendation for a go shop.cutlass is my spring summer driver
will see no track time.i havent swap and engine in a couple of years
plus dont have the time so i rather pay a shop i brought the roadmaster
cheap enough,i plan on pulling the electric fans and radiator for a lt1 camaro.if i go with the 403 i would like to have around 250 to 300 horses
and no overheating issues.
