Hello, I located a 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix at a local dealership here in Ontario. I am trying to determine its worth. It has 36000/22000 kms/miles that are indeed ORIGINAL and well documented, original two tone paint that is still quite nice, zero rust, no accidents, excellent interior, two previous owners, comes with the 5.0 V8, with no mods absolutely stock. It is being sold safetied/certified. The asking price is $12 grand. Is this a reasonable price for this type of car or robbery?. I have attached a few pics. Any help would be appreciated.

Wow and its a nice color & options as well. Sharp car like this stands a much better chance of getting someone to stretch for it than the same car with one color say sea foam green inside and out with a bench seat & ugly hub caps. Old saying Its worth what someone is willing to pay. IMO If they find the right buyer and are willing to sit on it they might very well get $10 grand. If they are ready to unload it I would bet $8 would buy it. If they have met up with no offers for a really long time and are very ready to unload maybe 6 grand but I doubt it as I assume its a financially solvent dealership not a family member who inherited it.

That's a very nice car and all that but in my opinion it's not worth 12,000 dollars. I would sell you my GP for that much!

Thank you all very much for your input. I am going to be doing a "trade-down" on this car so I atleast get a better idea of what I should expect back in return.

I'm with everyone else on this one. That is too high even for its condition. If it were a 2+2 Aerocoupe in mint condition with those many miles, you might talk that price...

That thing is immaculate though and best of luck to you if you get it. That is one fine machine.
