Thought I'd do a quick update-

Today I got my manual window parts from 1evilregal, so I'm looking forward to doing that swap. I also sawwed out my exhaust, here's it's remains-

And a quick exhaust clip, although it doesn't capture the sound that well, pardon the hanging fuel line-

Thanks, I thought I'd let you know I got all those pan bolts out with a weird-*ss ratchet, no engine removal required. However today, I tried to get the exhaust crossover out, which inhibited me from dropping the pan, and I snapped a bolt that went up into the manifold, Doh! :x So that's a whole 'nother problem. Anyways, I got the pan bolts out.

hopefully you'll have enough clearance to work with to change the gasket.don't forget the black form-a-gasket for the rubber-to-cork transitions over the front and rear main caps.

btw, it looks as if 307 and I may be copying your fender stripes...for awhile now, I had been thinking about putting a couple on in burgandy after it gets painted......

What can I say, I'm a trendsetter. 8)

Haha, thanks Darin, that's beautiful, it's exactly what I'm going for, minus the turbo. But anyways, that bondo thing does have me a little distraught, to say the least, I wiped the oil off, and some of the oil seems to be evaporating out of the bondo, but I might redo it anyways. The thing that's really got me ticked is it got in my roof seams, so they are going to need redone.

Update! Well I finally got my oil pan gasket changed, and knock on wood, no leak under the car! It was a pain, however, and involved cutting out a piece of exhaust, getting smacked in the head with an oil pan, cutting myself with a sawzall (ow), and modifying a bolt, but it worked out in the end. The exhaust crossover was the biggest problem. First, I tried taking the bolts off, and snapped the head off of one. I still have to burn the remains of the bolt out of the manifold with a torch. Next I took a sawzall to either end, and got the piece entirely off the drivers side, but only half off the passenger side, so the pass. side still has about 3/4 a foot of exhaust pipe on it. The exhaust piece also has a big split in it, so it will have to be changed. Picture-

I put new Mobil oil in the car and a new STP filter, and it runs great. Very loud. I would get an exhaust clip, but my neighbors got pissed off by the noise, and I don't want them to call the cops or anything.

I also got a new trans pan gasket and filter, so I'm gonna change that soon. Should be a lot easier than the oil pan, no crossmembers in the way. Picture-

My valve covers have resorted to leaking again, I don't think I ever sealed them properly. I am now looking for cast aluminum covers to replace my cheesy stamped steel ones that don't even match. One is off of an earlier model, one is off of an 86-87 later model. Here is just an up-to-date pic of the car, with dad's Camry by its side and sis's boyfriend's GP behind-
