Thanks again for the reply Andrew. Is most of body work done? I know all about having a new puppy, its like having a todler but they are great fun just a lot of work.

What did you do with fuel/brake lines after boxing the frame? Custom bent? I love your build. So many questions.. Who makes that bar that holds the rear horns together?

Yes, they were custom bent. I bought a bunch of brake line from the locat parts store and then made the bends I wanted. Instead of trying to make it one continuous piece I just cut them as I needed and tack welded everything together.

Once I had my "templates" I took them to a Tubes-n-Hoses place and had them duplicate everything out of stainless steel.

The bar in the back that connects to the bumper shock mounting holes is one that I made. It's super easy and takes all of about 5 minutes.

Managed to finish the powder coating on my intake, fuel rails, etc. over the weekend as well as soldering together my coolant transfer tubes. Gave them a quick polish and then put a clear powder coat on top to keep them from tarnishing.

Started fitting up the new EFI wiring harness trying to figure out the best way to run it.

I'm hoping to get everything reinstalled possibly this next weekend. Need to pull my balancer and water pump to fix a leak and then modify the new water pump to fit with the balancer and reinstall.

I was hoping to have everything completed before winter so that I could try firing it up on the new EFI setup but I'm running out of time.

Andrew you do clean work, your build is very cool and I'm using some of your ideas on my car. But I'm not a fan of the copper tubing, your work is clean and wood look great in a house but on top of your engine? I could be wrong and you could be setting a car trend.

Thanks. I'm going to make a couple of supports to help keep the pipes from moving although they are pretty rigid now. I made sure to use Type L copper pipe which is about the middle of the road for hardness.

This really isn't much different than a soldered together copper/brass radiator.

Thanks guys.

I was in the barn yesterday piddling with the engine and realized that I must have had my alternator bracket installed using the wrong bolt hole because my copper tube doesn't fit now. DOH!

So I get to remake that one. 🙁
