Great looking blast cabinet, Andrew.. Nice job. Your valve covers look cool as well.

Haven't managed to do much more on my car but I've bought a few tools to take things to a new level.

Bought a Hobart EZ Tig 165i Tig welder. I've wanted a TIG welder for years and years but they've always been sky high in price. I learned on a TIG during a summer job in college and have hated MIG welders ever since. 🙁

I've also pulled my intake back off to repowder coat it and decided now that I have a TIG welder to remake my upper and lower radiator hoses. Was looking for an inexpensive tubing beader and found this website:

www.grahamtool.com

They have an awesome beading tool that's made in the USA and doesn't cost a fortune. I ordered the large tubing beader so that I can do my radiator hoses but will likely get the medium one as well to do 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8" tubing as well.

Also bought a used Chevy serpentine setup off Ebay. Turns out it's apparently pretty easy to adapt to an Olds engine using some 1/4" spacers/adapters. Found a guy who has done this with his 455 on Realoldspower:

In the process now of bead blasting the brackets and powder coating.

Did you make your adapter plates yet? Do you have a template or something? I picked up all the brackets and pulleys this weekend. I just have to order the water pump. Then I can start my mock-up.

I have a couple of adapter plates made for mockup but haven't finished them yet. Just finally had time to mess with this project again. Below are a few pictures:

I really like how this setup keeps things more compact looking than some of the aftermarket stuff. Once everything is powder coated satin black and it's in the car, it'll disappear.

Looking good. I have everything but the crank pulley and the water pump. Mostly because I dont know what car to get the ford pulley from. I just havent decided if I'm going with a polished water pump or not. Do I use the chevy power steering pump too?Keep it up.

I'm not entirely sure which car it needs to be from. I was just told it needs to be a 302 Ford pulley so I looked for one from a Mustang. The pulley's from the later mod motors won't work as they were integrated into the harmonic balancer.

You probably could use the Chevy power steering pump. I'm going to try it with my stock replacement pump and installing the pulley from the Chevy. According to Autozone's website they both have the same ID on the pulley, or very very close.

Yep. 8) I'm redoing my intake and valve covers to all be satin black so I'm going to polish the copper pipes and then clear coat them.

You do your own powder coating?
