Not much going on I turned it around to work on the drivers side and got a little present in the mail today.

Also tried to mount the SS trunk spoiler but after playing with it for about 2 hours mocking it up checking marking the holes and rechecking.

I am afraid to drill a hole and screw it up...........:blam:

I feel your pain. I mounted mines on Friday and it took me all of 2 hours to line it up and still ended up needing to file my holes out more for a flat fit. But I got it on and I think it’s fine.

Well at this point I am at a stand still.

I need to replace a section of the drivers side floor and the passenger side torque box.

The floor doesn't bother me, I knew it needed it but the torque box is really annoying me.

I really didn't want to get to deep into this build since i am not a huge fan of Montes.

So not sure what i will be doing with the car at this point.
Why not just treat it as a repair? Remove the body bolts on one side, loosen them on the other. Jack up and support the body on the one side and make the repair. The trick is to resist the urge to dig in deeper and deeper.

I should have considered that body bolt removal will likely be more difficult since the car has corrosion damage. I totally see your point. Good luck with it. I'll be following along.

Ooeeyy! The driver side floor of my Cutlass was almost that bad! The jute backing of the original carpet was helping to hold it somewhat together!
No joke, when we started tearing my car apart and pulled the carpet it pulled some of the floor away with it !!!!

Looking forward to a cancer free floor!

Something to keep the squirrels and raccoons out until the floor pan gets here.

I just hope my wife doesn't plan on baking cookies anytime soon!!!!!

I feel your pain. Began the body mounts yesterday and have made cardboard templates of the #2, #4 #6 and #7 locations. By some miracle, I was able to remove the snapped off pass side #2 bolt after pulling the fender and inner fender. Long Island was not kind to the G body.
