2004r auto shifter recomendations

My stock shifter is pretty sloppy when shifting. Skip a gear if im not careful. So what is out there thats pretty close to plug and play so when i get on it, i wont make a mistake and break anything? Will be adding a shift kit soon

I don’t think any aftermarket shifter is going to be an exact fit, but I have the universal B&M Megashifter and fit it in the stock console with a few tweaks to the inner structure of the console. My heavily modded TH200-4R shifts hard and the stock plastic shifter handle broke easily.

I didn’t like the B&M logo, wanted something a bit more sheepish, so I expoxied the handle and finished in an interior gray that matches interior.

Did the trans cable need adjusted when you put the b&m on

Yes, it comes with an universal cable as well. I used that because it was a bit beefier.

Yes, it comes with an universal cable as well. I used that because it was a bit beefier.

I think I did get it from Summit. There will need to be some adjusting to the cable, the correct adjustment procedure is in the instructions. It’s pretty simple.
