More progress.

It is pretty complex like the stock system.

But, still symmetrical(ish)!

Quite the process getting to this point. 2/10, do not recommend. 😉

That's impressive. Passes my alignment meter from the screen shot 😎
Nicely done man!

Thanks! Hard to argue with a laser.

After welding up the under the not-exactly an axle pipes I moved onto the whole other reason this exhaust was built to be modular. The ability to drop even more weight for the drag strip: Turn downs!

Ironically I killed my last 180° bend which would have been perfect for this. Instead I worked with what I had left. Maths and lasers!

Nope.

Anyone want a chrome saddle?

From there it was just a matter of mock up, tack welding (and fouling a lot of tungsten), and burning them in. The aluminum v-bands seem to have a lot of trash cast into them. Made it a bit of a nightmare honestly.

For those keeping score at home (I believe race weight is 20ish lbs):

Close enough for the girls I go out with.

I need to add another hanger under the x-pipe to better support the exhaust in the event it heats up and sags/distorts.

Evidently I failed to share this here:

I believe, full-up, the "race mode" version is under 22lbs total including clamps and valves and actuators. Pretty wild manipulating 5ish feet of dual exhaust with one hand.
