Moved the Kitty to the shop and started laying things out.

The problem with buying used is it comes with hidden sins. I went on a journey of discovery cleaning out fittings, lines and nozzles with lots of nifty and crusty surprises along the way. A big part of the install is leaving as few telltale signs it was ever there. Winky face.

The fogger nozzle fits nicely in the now vacant IAT hole... almost like it was designed for it. Found it interesting that there is a heavy duty reinforcing ring inside the bellows. Clearly this thing pulls enough vacuum to collapse it.

Unfortunately hood open there is going to be no hiding this.

Bottle matches the engine and brake calipers... it is a "theme".

Made a little more progress yesterday. With anything like this the likelihood of a decent outcome is having an "A and B" to plot to. Without two fixed points you just end up with a hot mess.

One of the missing "A"s was the placement of the nozzle for the first stage of the methanol. So I widdled this thing out of a 1" round slug. Not bad for hand tools and a healthy dose of ignorance. The things I could do with a lathe...

The fan from the nozzle should be okay. I might validate that later, but I am limited by the space and options available to me.

The next step was to find a way to cleanly run the lines and mount the solenoids. First I needed to support the lines to keep them from flopping around. Nothing a little 1/8" stock and a few aluminum P clamps from the aerospace industry couldn't fix.

The supplied solenoid brackets in the kit are universal and rather bulky and awkward. Plus, I had to integrate the Snow Performance unit too. So I made my own.

The other-other challenge are the limitations of pre-made braided lines. This makes hiding things difficult due to routing restrictions. So I gave up trying to tuck them out of sight. I will probably just sheath them in braided nylon sleeves. Also this makes for improvements in servicing the systems.

A bit more refinement. I had Tatiana come out to assist in making a mount for the bulkhead tee fitting. And then seeing how to fix your mistakes. Daddy ain't perfect.

After she ran off to dinner I sat down to make an intercooler/heat exchanger nitrous purge spray bar out of a section of leftover cookie sheet. It is about 22" long, the holes are drilled 1" on centre. I ran out of argon before I could finish it. Forgot how much of a PITA thin aluminum is to weld... especially an inside 90* joint.

Swapping my empty M tank out for a T tank in the morning.

That's a nice rad shroud you are using there.

Rad shroud is here good sir.

I paid a solid $24 at Lowes for that material. The wife was flat out of cookie sheets she no longer wanted at the time.

Finished the purge spray bar and stuffed it home.

Recruited my oldest to watch me struggle and swear at assembling the Chinesium -4 AN PTFE lines. First we built the line to the purge bar. Still waiting on another fitting to finish the purge off.

Next up was pulling off the under trays and routing the main line for the nitrous we got to getting the meth from the trunk to the engine bay. You can see the anti-siphon valve where the line switches from stainless to black. The zip ties are temporary.

We added a 90° bulkhead fitting through the factory drain plug and used a 90° elbow to keep the line tucked as tight as possible to the body.

I will be transitioning to mounting the nitrous bottle, and meth pump and tank tomorrow. Mostly because I am doing anything to avoid the wiring.

If you're considering a second escape down here in freedomland, this isn't how we roll. Allow me to culture you.

I am offended at your being offended.
