Nice save. Was it there long? Any reason for being scrapped?

I think it's safe to say station wagon > mini van in general. Especially a g-body wagon or any older wagon. A sleeper old mini van is kind of cool with the above ideas, but still front wheel drive and ugly 🙂. Any friends of mine who bought a mini van I just assume gave up on life.

Nice score. Glad to see that you got it home in one piece. Also good to see another wagon saved from the crusher.
What's the ultimate plan for it?

What hinges are you talking about....the rear hatch glass?

I would say it was around the salvage yard for a year +. It was for sale complete, then was put in the yard for parts. Only missing radiator, distributor and rear window.

Found the steering column in the back seat 🙂

it must have been owned by a married couple and the wife was a back seat driver....😀

Yes. When I was on Maliburacing, my glass trim lost the ball stud. I could never get myself to throw away the glass. I ended getting rid of the wagon, but stashed the glass away.

So my other parts wagon that will get fixed will donate the radiator, I have the glass, now need hatch hinges and a 229 dizzy.

I'll bet you're glad you held on to that rear glass. As for the hinges, I would touch base with Kevin (OD Showtime), he may have some, or can source a set for you. It's worth a shot.

I was actually going to give it away about 3 years ago to a person that needed it. They sourced one before I could get it to them.

It goes to show you, if you hold on to something long enough, you'll end up needing it one day....😀
I've given parts away in the past... and sure enough, a day came when I actually needed it.
We're all guilty of that at least one time in our lives.

I'm pretty sure I still have a spare chevy vac advance v6 distributor in my stash.
