I have been trying hard to get the Cutlass done in time for this years power tour especially since it started so close to home. Unfortunately I didn't make it. I did see a lot of the cars go through our town on their way to Norwalk.

Day 5 (3 for me) in Champaign IL.

Hot again, seems like the smallest turnout, or maybe just spread out.

Made it home today. Made it 5 of 7 hrs home last night before the rain started again and I drove through rain again and it was dark and 9pm so called it a night.

Got back home Friday night about 8:30. We drove about 1,550 miles total including side trips and navigational errors 😀, A/C blasting most of the time. No problems and surprisingly little complaining from my copilot (wife). Got a Classic G Body Garage sticker dropped in my cup holder at Norwalk, I assume from Brian. Here’s the photo dump-

Thanks for sharing the cool pics guys.
Being a wagon guy, I love the '57 Ford Ranchwagon and the Studebaker Lark wagon. In the Lark, I was trying to determine what was under the hood.
All in all, great pics.

The 57 Ford was running a 512ci John Kaase Boss 429, according to his neighbor. The Studebaker had a '96 LT1 drivetrain. It was a Wagonaire- look them up.

That Ranch Wagon was built by Steve Strope at Pure Vision in CA. It was featured on the Motor Trend TV show as well: "Hand Built Hot Rods." The owner of the car also owns ARP fasteners if that gives you any indication of the price tag on that rig.

Thank you for filling in the blanks regarding my inquiries. I appreciate it. Glad to see that you and the Mrs. had a safe and enjoyable trip. Also good to see interesting roadside attractions.
The Studebaker is so stock looking and unassuming, the perfect sleeper down to the stock hubcaps. Smallblock Chevys are a simple swap into Studes.
Btw, isn't the Wagonaire model the one with the sliding rear roof section? A rare bird, for sure.

Thanks for the info, Mark.
Steve Strope creates some interesting vehicles. I'm not surprised that the Ranchwagon was one of his creations. It's so tastefully done. I haven't been on MT in quite awhile, so that's how I missed it. Ah, so the owner owns ARP fasteners.....I'm not surprised. It's a beauty.
