If you think it's something in the ignition causing it I would switch out those plugs to the cheapest AC Delco plugs. There are some in other forms posting poor reviews on the rapid burn plugs

so I tried something. I set all gaps to .40 and drove home. problem was worse and occurred up to 40-50 miles an hour. I set plugs .70 and test drove. really no improvement over .60 gap. maybe a hair worse.

on all occasions the plugs were wicked white like a lean condition.
