300+hp 305

Just something else to consider about these 'high HP 305s'. A lot of people like to lie about what they have. I don't mean that they say their engine has more power than it really does (wait lol... well lots do that too), but I mean the other way. Myself for example, my Malibu is in the process of getting a nice 355 installed. Of course most people on here and my friends know I'm getting a 355, but as far as anyone else is concerned. It's a 305 HO.
 
I have to agree with everyone. IT cost a lot of money to get a 305 big HP like 300+. Now personaly I would say do these two and drive your car the way it is. First run TRUE DUEL exhaust. Get a double hump crossmember and run two pipes. After get bigger gears in the rearend. I would say 3.43 if you do not have overdrive. If you have overdrive I would say 3.73. That should make it a little better performance. Then what I would do is buy a 350 or 400 small block. Then build it to your liking. That way when your ready to do a engine swap your be ready for it and know your engine is built right!!!
