those are the headers i'm using. i had one problem with them--one of the tubes is VERY close to the #5 plug. i could get the plug in, but not the wire. i used a shorty plug and it seems to work fine.

did u have any issues wiht the steering or anything like that

no problems other than the spark plug, and i had to modify the rod on the trans linkage thats for the neutral safety/backup/lock-out on the steering column. so if you have a column shift there may be issues but you may be able to just flip the cross rod upside down and tweek the bends. i actually put the drivers side in from the top with no problems.

is i was thinking about putting a center console inw wiht a floor shifter anyways beacause i wanna run a 3 inch exhaust

thanks for the info

so i have most my stuff for my engine all i need is my intake and carb i was wondering is there any real difference in power between a single plane intake or a dual plane

it's more about how you'll be driving. street driving, you're better off with the dual-plane as it promotes low end torque. the single plane is better for top end power but can greatly reduce part throttle driveability.

thanks

ill get some more pics of the motor up this weekend when i go to work on it

Well, the difference between the intakes is not as cut and dry as you may think. It really all depends on the cam, heads, compression and RPM's you intend to turn. Hot Rod did a story on this very question using a Mopar B wedge 383 out of a 1970 Challenger ( I think that is where it came from). With a mild cam and heads, there was little difference. With parts that could support it, the big single plane did better. I would look at a Performer RPM Air Gap intake as a great compromise. In most tests, it seems to perform very well and is comparable to mild single planes. Then again, if you build a motor that needs a big single plane intake, you will also have to balance the gearing, tire height and torque converter stall speed against its torque curve to be able to use it properly.

went over my dads to day to work on the motor heres some updated pics

new stud girdles will be in sometime this week with somemore stuff
