What's up guys new to the forum, need a little help. Have an 84 cutlass that Im swapping from olds 307 to sbc, pretty 1980 block with drivers side dipstick 2 pc Rear main, car is going to be mostly track some street use, usually the other way around when shopping for an oil pan, iv been looking at the milodon 30908 stroker pan and the moroso 20196, both pans have built in windage trays which is a must because I'm not running a block attached tray, my main question is clearence, the moroso says may require cross member modification and then iv read that milodon makes shitty pumps and pickups, I just want to find a good pan with built in windage tray, kick out, deep sump, cleared for stroker, for my block that will fit a gbody chassis stock

This might not be of help with the older motors with the two pieces seal. But I have build a number of the strokers using the vortec 880 blocks set up for hyd. roller cams. Just a little grinding to clear the 3.75 stroke and then a complete Eagle kit of your choice. As for the pan and windage tray these motors come from the factory with these. A few taps on the tray to clear the crank or you can just put a washer under the pan and put the nut on. Both work very well, if you need more oil capacity then you could use the windage tray and pan from the marine motors or corvette pan. These are bigger oil capacity pans.

Thank you for the reply, problem with the block is it was a gw crate motor and I just bought the block bare from a guy I work with and sent it to the machine shop, bought a scat fully forged bottom and need to finish my short block with a proper oil pan that will fit with oUT a block attached windage tray
