4-Speed conversion question

I'm still trying to decide how I want to build the motor. I know for certain I don't want a stock 350, but then again, I'm not looking to build something that I can only drive at the track.

im using a hydraulic setup that i picked up on evilbay for like 100 bucks with custom master cylinder and pedals. im going with a hydraulic slip on thorowout bearing so i can still run headers, however slip ons are pretty expensive (300ish) i got mine for cheap with the pedals because someone used it on a t-5 in a g body

Yes you can run hydro on a T10

I did it a few years ago on a Malibu.

I used a F-body hydro master/slave, made a mount/bracket for the slave to the T10 bellhousing (Vette sourced) and hooked the master to a set of G-body pedals.

i was going to do something similiar and try to deal with the starter location being so close to the slave, however i got a good deal on the slip on t/o bearing. and im pretty sure with the kit hes talking about you dont get a clutch fork, im not 100% on that

Yeah, that's actually what I meant. Not zbar. 😳

I had first did the 4 speed conversion when I installed my bbc, in the past year I put in a small block chev and a richmond super t-10. I will be uprgrading to a hydralic t/o bearing. the best place for price i have found was from speedwaymotors.com for the parts.

Ok guys, i'm back with a few new questions. As an update, I went with the mechanical clutch setup, and i am going to for-go headers, and use the wz (someone correct me on that if i'm wrong) manifolds. now, i have some new questions though. first of all, i know that there is a g-body specific bellhousing (the ballstud being in a certain location), but it's only a chevy bolt pattern. seeing as i'm goin with the olds motor, i need to kno where exactly the ballstud is supposed to be, so that i can move is in my bellhousing. also, I did get the actual floor panel for the shifter, so I was wondering about the shifter install kit. and finally, will i need to change my driveshaft? My current setup is the buick v6, with the 250c and a 7.5 rear. my new setup will be an olds 350, borg-warner super t10, and a 8.5 rear. will i have to change my driveshaft? if so, where can i get the right one? If i can get some help with all of this, i'd really appreciate it!
