The photos are great, and the work looks really clean, but did I miss something? I don't see the rear shocks mounted in the photos. Are you relocating the lower shock mounts?

Looks like the same set-up on my car. If your set-up uses the caliper as the e-brake, you'll find that it doesnt hold very well. You're right about not working on lowered cars, the assembly hits the frame.

I am using a caliper from an 80 Seville the e brake uses a smaller spring than the F body caliper and it looks cleaner. I mocked it up last spring so I'll be doing the conversion this winter along with non power brake set up

No! You guys are not missing anything. And yes your are correct. We did relocate the rear lower shock support about 2" further inboard with a new mounting bracket. No the shocks are not there but the bracketry is. You just have to look close. Non coil over shocks had to be ordered and simply werent installed at the time of the photo.
Im also aware of the slip issue with the e-brake calipers. As this car will see very little street time, im not so concerned with that as I am getting it through registration and inspection if those items were not there. Gotta love the state guys!

I just wanted to give all of you an update to the project as it comes along. I spent the weekend with my 3 sons getting the motor and transmission installed inot the rolling chassis. We had a little bit of an alignment issues with the motor mounts but solved that issue with lots of lithium grease and some pry bars. The left side exhaust header dropped right into place but the right side is going to be a bit more of a challange. The drive line is also going to set us back a bit as it is now too long with the Buick rear axle in place. That will be shortened in order to accomodate the longer snout on the Buick pumkin. We will post more photos as time allots. Thanks for all the feed back. Keep it coming.

Did you end up going with the SSBC A127 rear disc kit? I too have that kit. I thought from the instructions that the calipers are supposed to be rear mounted anyways, not to mention it comes with a shock relocation block. This is a bit scary though. My car is under construction, and dropped but only 1". I'll have to double check now to make sure that caliper won't hit the frame.

UPDATE: Checked it and all is good. 🙂
