Well got bored over the weekend and rattle canned the car. Looks dam good from 100 yards. What's got me posting however... The performance!!!

The transmission has been acting up bad. Last week I drove it to work thought I was going to rip it out. Full throttle stomp 0,25,45,75 buried. Let off thinking it blew and it changed up. Runs like it's on crack! Go anywhere need the floor the *ss end is all over the place.
Today I was playing around with a 5.0 mustang. 5% grade hill out of town had it buried going up. Thrashing the Ford....
Wtf??? Why suddenly it wants to fly. All I did was hook up the map sensor and fiddled around with the carb linkages. Not bad for a 307!!! Or is this the start of its demise? Sat for years maybe some things loosened up? Either way I have a dumbass smile on!!!

Not bad , thoughts?

I'd say that if it runs good, go with it. But if it acts up again, take a look before it burns up. The C6 in my tbird for the longest time ran and shifted like *ss then all of a sudden after sitting for a few months while getting minor things fixed it shifted hard and crisp, like it had a shift kit. Idk, autos are weird.

your car does a 1/4 mile in about 17 seconds on a good day, I don't think that Mustang 5.0 knew there was a race cause he/she wouldn't have any trouble driving right by you

Either way I was to busy hanging on! Lol that car never hit 70 mph down hill. Now I am putting my brakes on up hill to get the needle back out of the dash lol. Think the secondaries were stuck. Plus now it's instant downshifting instead of taking 5 miles to shift down. Just don't get the night/day difference??? Did nothing to the TV cable.

I mean if you're enjoying it why 'fix' something that's not broke but at the same time expect it to be shortlived and fall dead on it's *ss in a minute. That was the course of 3.8 v6 cars and a 307 car I have come across behaving like that. If it's running too rich or too lean it will let you know soon when it bogs down. Of course it could be nothing and the throttle linkage is just sticking because it sat so long. There are a number of things it 'could' be causing that.
