You will need either a G-Body specific bellhousing and clutch fork (not sure if they make a BOP-compatible G-Body bellhousing), and pedals you can probably find easiest in a Malibu or El Camino, though they're getting harder to come by. Check eBay, also they're sold aftermarket now (though a bit pricey). Try www.ecparts.net, www.opgi.com, and www.dixiemontecarlo.com, they're probably all from the same supplier.

Or just use a hydraulic throwout bearing and any BOP bellhousing. Solves the header clearance problem with the Z-bar.

You are aware of the Olds pilot bearing problem on non-manual trans cranks, right?

They're out there, but are very hard to find.

260 Olds', Buick 231's, and 301 Pontiac's were available with a manual trans and feature the G-body specific bellhousing.

P.S. a 455 with a 4-speed would be even cooler!

So thats really all you need to do this on an Olds engine?? I was under the impression that you had to use the G body specific bell housing, which is really hard to find and expensive. Does using the hydraulic throw out bearing eliminate the need for the G body bell housing?

Does this only apply to 4 speeds, or can you do it with a 5 speed also?

If this is really all it takes, I have a 455 that already is drilled for the pilot bearing

The G-body specific bellhousing is only necessary if you're using the stock mechanical linkage, because of the location of the clutch fork and clearance in the floor tunnel.

If you're using a hydraulic set up, then you can use which ever bellhousing you choose.
