Another question, will shorty, block hugger headers for a 455 fit in my cutlass? I don't want to have to buy the $500 455 Gbody headers, but I want something thats going to flow really well.

Yes the metric 200 will bolt up as its the same as the 200-4r that I run behind my Cadillac 509. (BOPC) You might consider investing in a 200-4r instead of a th400 depending on how you plan to use the car. It has the cake and eat it to factor as you can gear it for the quarter mile and still drive the interstate without winding the motor and sucking fuel. (no trailer needed) I have gotten 17mpg hwy when I believe I would have been lucky to get 12mpg with the same gears and a th400. I think that is decent for a big motor car that ran 12.5 at 110 on pump gas. But to me it was more about the rpms and being able to drive it anywhere than the mileage. Anyway food for thought

PS Both Bob and Dwight ran overdrive with an Olds 455
