Do you know what the surface finish is on your block and heads? Cometic requires a 50 RA or finer to work properly and must be installed dry. They are the cometic mls gaskets so possibly they are leaking?

I agree with TURNA, at 230 degrees you should not be getting gysers from the rad and overflow. Sounds like exhause gases getting into the coolant by a cracked head or a head gasket
WTF we agree?!?!?!?!?!?!
HOLY **** THE END IS NEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I apologize for agreeing with you, what was I thinking. I think my meds need updating or someone spiked my popcorn......

Did you install a serpentine belt system? If so make sure the water pump is rotating in the proper direction. The motor is getting hotter than 230 imo. Sounds to me there is no coolant flow. I would be looking at the pump. Start with the simple things first. Don't just dive into the motor and pull it apart before checking the simple thing first. Its not hard to narrow things down with good detective work. Relax and go over in your head how the cooling system works. If ya have to write things down.
