I have actually done that using a piece of roll bar tubing going across and two tire irons holding the trans, worked pretty well.

Just back from the Tri Power Nationals @ Norwalk.
4 days of beautiful Pontiacs showing and racing.
Off the trailer Friday, got some 10.60s while fighting a cooling issue and fuel issue.
Temp was 93 with 4100 DA!
Saturday sorted it out and got some 10.40s @ 128 mph with a soft 1.52 60 foot, even won a round.
Was going to let her eat Sunday but the electric water pump failed and we called it a weekend.
I am calling it a success as any racers knows if you make some full,safe passes on a new combo you did pretty well.
