Looking for a cheap transmission cooler. Going to be running 6AN line and fittings from the transmission.

All the universal coolers I see have a nipple end for rubber line and hose clamps. Seems cheesy to me especially when I have to run one back to the transmission. Any suggestions?

GMT400 transmission coolers have threaded fittings that are removable. So do a lot of aftermarket coolers. You should be looking at bar and plate, not tube and fin.
Thank you. I have one from a GMT 800 but the fittings were rusted pretty good. If i recall correctly I did get them out but may have twisted the tubing. I thought about pressure testing it with air. Do you know what it should hold? And thread size? I would need to cap it somehow

That I don't. I put a GMT800 cooler on the wife's Envoy and it is chintzy compared to a 400 cooler. 800 cooler in Envoy:

Standard and extra large 400 coolers side by side.

You ought to be fine with the size of the regular one, I upgraded because I tow with the dually. You can see just how much beefier the older units are, and they're sold new in the aftermarket.

The factory options are plentiful and come in aftermarket form as well, I chose to go with a $70 Chinese unit from Amazon but haven't installed it on the Cutlass yet:
