I beleive there is something needed like a crank to torque converter spacer needed for an older trans to bolt to a GEN III/IV

I just found out recently how cheap and easy these swaps are. I have been collecting tpi parts for year now and was gonna go a vortec tpi motor since i had pretty much a ramjet long block with the vortec heads, then i discovered that i can get a 5.3 dirt cheap and throw a ls1 intake on it and have more power, easier swap, TONS more info then i can do with tpi on a budget. It just seems stupid to me to try anything else at this point for what i am after. With that said does anyone know what accessory setup works with a g body? I have read yes and no on the f body setup…. What about manifolds vs. headers? I can get a pair of f body manifolds for next to nothing. I am not going for crazy power, a stock 5.3 with a computer flash will be more then enough to keep me happy so i am thinking the manifolds should be fine. i would sacrifice a couple hp for a cooler engine compartment and not having to drop 700 bucks on new coated headers. Maybe the c5 manifolds? Does anyone know what years for the ls1 are the best for the computer and harness or are they pretty much the same? I see the 98 models allot but i wasn’t sure if the early years were the same, with tpi the first year (85) had a different computer and harness… i have been on ls1tech.com a bunch researching also, trying to come up with a complete parts list. The motor i am looking to buy is a 5.3 long block with truck intake and throttle body with 30k on it for 200 bucks, i cant even buy a new carbed vortec intake for 200 bucks! a ls1 intake on ebay goes for like 40, injectors with fuel rails not much more then 50-60 if you look and then no more then you would spend on a traditional carbed motor for accessories.
