I am just saying if it is a 454 everyone is wasting their time recommending cams and heads.FFS. Still: Cam and a Procharger.

I stand by my original statement. 600hp from a 454 isn’t budget friendly imo. 600 ft/lbs is a different story, but it would be nice if he popped back in. Otherwise, we are going to figure out all kinds of ways to spend his money 😉I am just saying if it is a 454 everyone is wasting their time recommending cams and heads.

Mike, budget an LS are a tall order. Budget and Procharger………….it’s like the fat kid in the candy store- never enough candy.
So what do you think the max rwhp is that a stock Gbody frame can handle with new poly body mounts and just basic chassis reinforcements like ones from UMI?You would be better served by asking this question on LS1tech.com. In my opinion, 600 HP at the wheels would be difficult to do on a budget and would require some expensive hardware. For 600rwhp NA you will need high rpm, a performance intake, good aftermarket heads (400cfm+) roller rockers, correct valve springs and headers. You will spend a lot of money. plus injectors, tuning and possibly a fuel pump. If you really need that power level then going with a turbo would be the most cost effective. 400-450 rwhp is much more feasible. Why do you think you need 600? The chassis on your G body will not handle that power level without big modifications.
800-900 whp, 1000-1100 crank with UMI bars in rear, rear control arm reinforcement and a trans crossmember that contacts in 3 locations rather than the factory two.So what do you think the max rwhp is that a stock Gbody frame can handle with new poly body mounts and just basic chassis reinforcements like ones from UMI?
This right here. These people who ask this crap and don't chime back in I call askholes, purely are here to waste people's time. Probably too busy trying to procreate with their siblings. My props to those of you that take the time to respond for no reason.but it would be nice if he popped back in.
They are Russian trolls just trying to make us argue over the McRib and how many nuclear power plants are required to convert 50% of the personal vehicles on the continent to electric. This right here. Define "handle"? You want to hook and book? You want to do Youtube burnout videos? So what do you think the max rwhp is that a stock Gbody frame can handle with new poly body mounts and just basic chassis reinforcements like ones from UMI?
Wraith has hit on all of the important questions.Define "handle"? You want to hook and book? You want to do Youtube burnout videos?
The best question is what is what you want to do in a G-body chassis?
Pick HP, pick transmission, pick driveshaft, pick rear axle. Which one will be the weak link?
G-body 7.5" axle always wins.
Eliminate the axle and work through the rest, the G-body chassis is not the weak link despite what the internet says.
Do you want to eliminate the "G-body shuffle" if you're drag racing? An actual frame mounted anti-roll bar gets rid of that.
Of course I've been drinking and interneting so.... Me as well, but.....the answers are the same
