then it's a problem with the yoke...the girdle only secures the joint in place which is in positioned by the c clips resting firmly on the yoke. There should be no side play with the joint when in place even without the girdles tightened down
why would GM make a yoke without nubs like this one? Did they think it wouldn't matter? This really sucks, a kindergardner engineer could think of a better way to hold the universal in place but thanks for the replies, certainly not your fault.
