You should ask the guy selling the wheels to measure the wheel width and bs using the info 67rstbkt mentioned, it would probably greatly help answer some of your questions. Or If he's not far just do it your self. When it comes to max tire width on a 8.5" wheel, I personally would go 255 at the most.

ya im gonna do it myself, he already told me they where 9.5 inches wide. i havent seen one stealth made that was 9.5 inches wide.

due to the cluster **** storm that just went through that most of us got hit by im going on saturday and ill put up some pictures. of them and clearances. im really praying the are 8.5" wide rather than the 9.5" wide he says they are. i really want them to fit.

Anyone have a 78 regal hood with cowl induction 2-4 inch? 😀?

Probably so. My valve covers should have made it today but we got our *ss handed to us with a blizzard last night.

Im 99% sure the wheels are 8.5" wide and he measured them wrong.
225/40 255/40
front and rear.
you think they will fit no problems? or minor problems like spacers?

If they are in fact 8.5" I bet they fit no prob. As far as running a 225 on the front I think it would look too stretched. My brother ran 225/40 on a 18x7 and that was just right. With 8.5" wheels all around I'd go with 245/40 all around for both looks and so you could still rotate the tires. The only reason I'm gonna run a 275 in the back is cuz my new rear wheels are 9.5" wide.
