I'm restoring the car for every day driver!car has been in the family for26 yrs every things ready to start paint and body, just trying to find part that I mentioned, thanks for any help!

Welcome aboard!
Anything newer than a '78 column, you'll also need the intermediate shaft. The '78 is a one year only column/ shaft which has a spline ended shaft, compared to the later columns which has a double D, or has double flats on the column shaft.
Any G-body steering box will interchange and also Camaro/ Firebird boxes as well. You might want to find a quick ratio box which were standard equipment in Monte Carlo SS', Buick GN and T-Type Regals, Hurst Olds/ 442, and IROC Camaro/ Firebird T/A.
Good luck with your project...we always like to see pics.
